Second grant program for local and regional organizations

The second program of grants is announced for organizations operating outside Chisinau within the framework of the project “Development of civil society at the local level in the Republic of Moldova”. The application deadline is April 15, 2020.

The main objective of the project is contribution to the development of civil society, which promotes and monitors the transparency and responsibility of state institutions. Particular attention will be paid to projects with purpose to monitor the implementation of the RM-EU Association Agreement.

By means of the grant program, priority is given to local and regional community organizations to support activities aimed at promoting the principles of good governance.

Funding categories:

Three funding categories: grants for civic initiatives (from 1 000 to 10 000 Euro), grants for regional projects (from 10 001 to 30 000 Euro) and grants for national projects (from 30 001 to 60 000 Euro).

Also, a package of documents can be sent online to eu@dezvolt.md with the subject: "DOSAR", name of organization, category of financing.

Project Duration:

· 6-12 months for civic initiatives and regional projects;

· 12-16 months for national projects;

Total amount of the budget is 1 million Euro:

·  Civic initiatives- about 40 000 Euro;

·  Regional projects - about 850 000 Euro;

·  National projects - about 160 000 Euro;

The project “Development of local civil society in the Republic of Moldova” is funded by the European Union and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) and offers grants of about 3 million euros between 2019 and 2021.

The project is implemented in partnership with the Independent Analytical Center "Expert-Grup", the Association for Democracy of Participation "ADEPT", the Foreign Policy Association (APE) and the European Center "Pro-Europa" in Comrat.
